Algebra314 is a mathematics blog focused on understanding ideas from first principles.

The aim of this blog is not just to solve problems, but to explain why methods work, where intuition can fail, and how mathematical reasoning can make difficult ideas feel natural.

Many topics in mathematics are often learned through memorisation. Here, I try to take a different approach — breaking ideas down, questioning assumptions, and exploring the reasoning behind results that are usually taken for granted.

The blog includes: explanations of core concepts probability paradoxes and counterintuitive results problem breakdowns reflections on learning mathematics

I am currently an A-level student studying mathematics, and this blog is a way for me to explore ideas more deeply and document what I learn along the way.

If a post makes you pause and think differently about something you thought you understood, then it has done its job.
